A truly unique Robin Day table (measuring 5ft x 21/2ft) together with 3 of the 4 675 chairs. Bought new and in the possession of one owner continuously through out its life this table and chair set are quite remarkable. The metal legs have a toned grey paint that shows its tru age having never been restored. The seats are in their original material and show little signs of wear. The table and chairs were displayed for all to enjoy. The table has few marks (see photo) and in some lights the evidence of a matt can be seen to have protected the table from fading. This is neither visible in the film or digital shots and over my time of owning this appears to be fading away to give a uniform patina. the Edges of the table are aggressively finished giving a round and champhered edge (see photos) adding to the tables visual float on it strong steel frame.
